Rece withers under the onslaught of return fire and has to beat a hasty retreat to keep out of reach of the rancor. But he still manages to lay down a solid barrage of fire that wounds the rancor, knocks Old Merc's helmet around, and gives Rece some space to breathe.

The Rancor looked to be on its last legs. Zephrin almost felt sorry for it, poor thing. Nevertheless he dashed in and cleaved into its head, trying to make this as painless as possible.

His blue blade arced out and up through the beast into Old Merc! The rifle went tumbling away and his saber left a nicely cauterised hole in the grizzled Mandalorian.

Zephrin took a moment to survey the battlefield. He steadied his lightsaber and took up a Soresu ready stance.

"No." Old Merc kicks his feet out of the stirrups and jumps clear of the Rancor, rolling to his feet. "You have done enough, rest." The Rancor snorts and then relaxes, breathing weakly.

Drawing a knife with his good hand the Mandalorian charges at Zephrin. "But I have not yet begun to fight!"

Tomin's focus is pulled from the center of the fight by the BeastMinders' attack cutting into her shoulder. It's more instinct than strategy that whirls her away from them, just enough to bring the rifle to bear. Even as her Master's voice chides her for relying on the rifle instead of the lightsaber at her side, she sends a point blank pulse of destruction into her attackers. Maybe she'll practice her saber forms more when not fighting for her actual life.

As the Rancor fell it felt inevitable that this was going to end in a duel! Old Merc's blade slipped through his defenses, but the proximity allowed Zephrin a clean strike in return. As they circled each other he used a stim to nullify the damage.

Zephrin's Force Sight showed the Mandalorian's life force was strong. "It is not too late to withdraw. You could retire, perhaps breed rancors?"

With his breather complete, Rece would like nothing more than to continue dogging the now-dismounted Old Merc. But tunnel vision is how you get yourself run over by your own armored car. Zephrin seems to have his knife fight well in hand, but Rece's fellow blaster wielders are being swarmed by extremely dangerous working class persons with spears. He moves back in to get a clear shot on the ones attacking Tomin.

Awkwardly still entangled and now getting poked by the same people who trapped her, Vala could only fire back at them in hopes to get some room to breathe. Some her shots kind of went stray as a distraction before she hit her intended target.

Old Merc aims and attacks Zephrin, but he misses. He'll double boost the azurdactyl and heal some strain. Despair is used to upgrade the Azurdactyl's attack difficulty next turn

Old Merc with a knife and pretty much every critical injury at Zephrin. Aim. Zephrin is destiny flipping.

Rece rolls over onto his back and wipes the mud from his visor, glaring up at the azurdactyl. "I liked the other one better!" He fires up into its exposed abdomen, bringing the reptile down into the mud with him. He crawls out from under its wing and stims away the worst of the bruising.

As Old Merc's attack came in Zephrin's tight Soresu defense parried the attack at the last possible moment, turning it aside (Parry for 5 + Soak 2). With his friends finishing off the last few enemy forces he gave a respectful nod. This was not an opponent who would ever give up, never surrender.

"You fought well. Rest now, become one with the Force." The Jedi's aim was true...
