Bringing The Party To You (Open - 4 players, high-risk combat)

It was a simple plan, take one of the surviving assault shuttles and fly it in fast while the ground forces launched their attack. The Crusaders would be tied up with the assault and you could land behind the enemy defences and attack the base directly.

So there you were, all packed into a shuttle speeding across the Obroan skies at uncomfortable speeds when you hear a thump from outside....

Location: Soaring above the clouds of Obroas-Skai in your assault shuttle, your ambush is ambushed! Up here the bright sun bathes everything in warm light, even as the high altitude is bitterly cold itself. Far (far!) below you can see the planet’s surface.

Fighting on the outside of a shuttle roaring through the sky is rather difficult, all dice roll by PCs suffer 2 setback dice ■ ■ (Except for initiative, you start inside the shuttle after all). GMs can spend 4 setback or a despair generated by a PC roll to have them nearly fall. Nearly falling forces the character to become prone and suffer 3 strain with no soak allowed.

Premise: Incapacitate Hapunn Forn, don’t allow the shuttle to blow up. Players roll vigilance for initiative.

Roll your choice of vigilance or cool for initiative.

Opposition: Happun, two wing commanders, two units of 3 Mandalorian crusaders ranged.

PCs start inside their airborne shuttle, the Mandalorians have all landed on the shuttle’s port wing and appear to be planting charges on the craft. The two wing commanders are at short range to the shuttle’s emergency exit over the port wing (You can engage them with a single move maneuver). Happun and the ranged crusaders are at medium range. Every character has been issued with an emergency parachute in the event one is required.

Plans never go as planned these days, do they? Tomin braces for the bite of wind as the door opens and doesn't need to squint against the sudden brightness outside. With charges being set on the wing, she wishes again that maybe she'd focused on using the Force to grab things..but noooo.

Vala was fine with getting on a shuttle for a mission, especially when they were supposedly avoiding the worst of the fighting. Potentially, they might even need a backup or co-pilot. When the claxons started to blare about an incoming presence, Vala quickly strapped a parachute onto herself to prepare. "You know, I'm not exactly planning to fly home with my arms. They tend to tire out easily and I'm not exactly aerodynamic."

Someone, somewhere, probably said bringing a giant Gigoran used to working on the ground and to an assault shuttle was maybe not a very sound. But having someone strong who could draw enemy fire and stand amidst it as part of the surprise assault team was a convincing enough argument that it got Snowflake into the plane.

It wasn't the first time he was flying, of course - he had flown from Gigor to Obroa-Skai at some point, of course, and he had been in the Concord Dawn, but that was different from this in many ways.

And it was definitely different from seeing an enemy squad landing on the wings of your vessel and starting to plant... something there.

Fear wasn't an emotion the Gigoran was known for. He didn't show any outward signs of it - on the contrary, he was fast to have the parachute strapped to him and seemed eager to get started and do... something. Anything, really. Anything that would get these people out of their ride's wings, along with whatever it was they were placing there.

But for those who were used to Snowie's expressions, it was clear he wasn't quite his usual self...

"We... we got to get them out!", the deep voice roared, nodding in agreement at Vala.

Adapted to the cold removes 1 setback from fighting on the shuttle wing (As per Nicha)

Equipment:
Wearing armor, shield, vibroknucklers, 2 stims on belt pouch. 6 other stims and sap gloves should be tucked somewhere on whatever backpack modules are on, I guess.
Should be 13/18 encumbrance (or a bit less total, would make sense to not be carrying the whole modular backpack in such a situation!)

Much more interested in taking on the biggest, baddest Mandos the Crusaders have on offer, Sirina signed up to cut off the head so to speak. Very much a woman with a plan, she doesn't respond well to sudden changes and spends the first few moments after hearing the thump on the shuttle wing and putting the pieces of Hapunn's attack together cursing rather than reacting productively.

A high-pitched voice suddenly comes on over shuttle's the internal speakers. “And if you look out the port side of your aircraft you’ll see the incredibly handsome Hapunn Forn wishing you all a warm trip to the afterlife.” His voice cracking a little with anger. “This is the last stop for all of you, you think you can chase me? You think you can hunt me? No! I.Hunt.You!” The speakers crackle and then fade to silence.

There's a visceral reaction in most people when a heavily armed Gigorian emerges to do them harm. As Snowflake clambers onto the ring the Mandalorians immediately start panick firing! Most of their shots are caught by his shield but the sheer weight of fire knocks him down and he slides perilously close to the edge!

Now that was a warm welcome! The Gigoran lets out a howl as he loses his footing, but is quickly back up and rushing at one of the wing commanders.

"Let go of our wing!", is all the Gigoran yells in a gnarl-like voice that is hard to hear despite its loudness due to the roaring wind.

He tries to hit the wing commander's stomach with a punch, but the shifting "ground" and the Mandalorian's reflexes make him hit the air instead.

The Wing Commander curses and activates his Jetpack to quickly dodge back as Snowflake swings at him. He swiftly kicks his opponent's shield away before swinging his axe into the Gigorian...and then his eyes widen as it simply bounces off the thick fur.

Vala drew out her blasters as the Mandolorians found themselves closer. It was extremely bothersome that they were fighting on a moving craft once more but she seemed to have made it work when she started firing her shots before scoring a solid hit on one of them!

Move 1: Pull out pistol
Move 2: Pull out other pistol (2 Strain)
Action: Attack with Guns Blazing (2 Strain)

Day 6, Bringing The Party To You, Round 1: Shoot Wing Commander 2! One less Setback with Custom Grip, 1 Boost from Quick Strike. Adversary 1 with Defense 1.

Ranged Crusaders 2 also fire at Vala...but miss. Boost wouldn't have helped them. They pass on an advantage.

The Commander's squad follow his lead and open up on Vala, but their angle isn't great and the more nimble gunfighter is able to dodge.

Tomin flicks her fingers in the Miralukan equivalent of rolling her eyes. Of course he has a besalisk...exploding the shuttle wasn't dramatic enough.

"I don't think you'll do as well blinded as I do, but lets see..." Leaning against the doorframe as she raises the rifle up, and up a liiiitle bit more...there! Right into the sensitive mechanical bits.

"Let's even these odds a bit," Sirina says as she thumbs the auto switch on her blaster rifle and takes aim at the crusaders harrying the Hoper shuttle. With her weapon spitting out a withering volley, Sirina showers the squaded up crusaders with bolt after bolt-- the speed of her fire seemingly making little difference to her deadly accuracy.

Well, that certainly got their attention. The squad ineffectually tickling Snowflake turns their weapons on Sirina and soon both sides are firing rapidly, bolts pinging off the side of the shuttle or soaring out, briefly illuminating the surrounding clouds with a reddy pink.

Sirina snarls a curse as she's scored by return fire. Breaking off her previous stream of shots just Ling enough to swing her barrel around towards the remaining crusaders, she presses the trigger back past the wall and arcs yet more fire at the Mando troopers. As the barrel of her blaster turns red hot and several more shot strike home on the Crusaders, Sirina let's her sling bear most of her weapon's weight while she jabs herself with a stim.
