He felt anger, frustration and fear looming at the corner. Whenever he wasn't paying attention. Whenever unwanted memories came to him. Often when he thought he was calm and relaxed.
Was that a side-effect of him learning about the Force? Or was it already there, and now he at least knew it and could do something about it?
He made his way further inside the forest, tried to let his feelings guide him. The Hart was nowhere to be seen today. And he kept trying to find that calm the forest often gave him, but it was particularly hard today.
He did find a rock to sit on. It wasn't much, but maybe he could find... something there.
He giggled.
Not in the rock itself, of course. Inside him. Or maybe it was something from the rock after all? Its spirit? Maybe it could make his own thoughts as smooth as its surface. Make his soul as sturdy as its substance.
More giggling - a deep giggling that almost sounded like a grunt, but giggling nonetheless.
Slowly, gradually, he knelt down, then sat atop the rock, almost as if he and it were part of a snow-covered boulder.
Now to see where his mind, his soul - no... the Force - would take him.
