re: Dianoga event. Using the comm call assist...requires the assistance to make sense, correct?
Example, normal assistance has it where you can use one player's skill and one player's attribute, but, for example, calling Snowy for a Melee assist and using his Brawn is a bit odd (but I'll accept 'the magic of roleplay' if that's a thing we could do.)
Or is the assist of just plain add a Boost die?

I hadn't considered the possibility, but since you said that, would any of Snowie's variety of things to mitigate the cold apply to remove (maybe just one?) of the setbacks?

Just to make sure about what the current situation in the Outbreak is!
1) does that count as a "successful roll at the location"? Or not?
If so, and if I understood that correctly, then
2) That should count as 2 successes, and
3) the Outbreak mark is probably cleared there?

Apollo converted two advantage to a success on his roll there. So...If a location has a single Outbreak mark, any successful roll at that location will receive 1 bonus Success, and the Outbreak mark will be cleared.

Besides what's listed in Special, no other rules have changed; 4th and 5th rolls are allowed, new rollers roll 3 times.

Do you want initiative in first rolls? It reads a bit more like no, just get the piloting rolls in and deal with a shot from the repeating blaster each round we're not on the train. But checking to be sure!
A bit late, but for next rolls, are the piloting setbacks at all affected by the ubiquitous thermal cloaks? I'm assuming not (obviously) but someone's going to ask, may as well be me.

Piloting setback is not affected by the thermal cloaks. We have finally reached the limits of cloak technology :O

Would Farsight affect the latter setbacks? (particularly if using Farsight enhanced Perception/Vigilance)

The forest is a bit more cleared out again, but poor weather makes it a dangerous choice for the unprepared.
Special rules: Add one Setback to each Standard Roll made here. Additionally, all rolls gain two Setback from cold and two Setback from darkness/poor visibility.

3) Farsight would cancel it all
