Do Not Throw Away Your Shot Coordination

Because there's a lot there, reminder that:
  • Rolls for Entering the Scene only pass boosts, etc. to your next roll.

    But rolls in Clever Girl pass to the next roller.


I foresee a fair bit of Gain the Advantage to try poking that final shot difficulty down.

As far as the eventual shooting pool goes, Tomin's at:
and -2 (1 for grip, one for reducing difficulty on shots at Long or greater)

Plus a Boost from High Ground if I don't move, and probably Aim since that's the logical thing to do before shooting.

I think you are right that Gain the Advantage is going to be big. My pool should be 2y 3g 2u -1b, with 2u from thick bushes if I stick here. Still waiting on GM confirmation, but I may well ignore both setbacks from thick bushes from two ranks of Outdoorsman talent.

Makes the most sense to me to focus on just a few shooters, others supporting?

Yep.

Assuming everyone doing Gain Advantage succeeds (not guaranteed--obviously), two rounds worth would allow 9 of those (which I think could bring it Down quite a bit. Letting the main shooter Aim and fire, which is their 3rd Heat so they'd be hit...plus hit more if they miss.

Alternately everyone else Gain Advantages for 2 rounds (8 tries) while main shooter Aims Round 1 and Shoots for Round 2. Leaving Round three for...Hail Marys as the Heat gets most folks shot at? XD

That's a super simple analysis because it's late and I don't want to ponder how the action that helps pull heat off figures into this right now. But I definitely think the 21 action limit would be impressive to get to.

Snowie can't do much to help gain advantage and can't shoot at all, but if you think having a big fluff target to draw attention from the shooter's could help, he'd be pretty good at that.

If he goes in, I could keep drawing fire to reduce heat from others (Athletics at 1y4g1f). With some luck that could generate some boosts to help others' rolls. Could also relocate to Stim others as needed.

Would be a Support role ar any rate, mostly as a big target that can take a few shots and (probably) keep standing (he'd be taking 7 wounds plus crit per shot taken, and reducing crit severity by a bit)

Apollo can be another body here, for Clever Girl he'd be going for Draw Fire to take Heat off of others.

Vala can be involved too, she has a somewhat comparable dice pool (of 4) with the team. Just wondered if anyone else wanted to jump into the event first.

Just to add to this - this means Snowie could draw fire to take 3 shots (with -30 to crits) and still keep up, barring horrendous critical hits.

I'm thinking Fec can probably take a shot better than Sirina, Tomin and Vala, right? Anyone I should focus on for reducing heat? Or should I keep alternating to keep you all up for at least 1 more try?

If we're agreed on who's going to take the shot (Sirina?) Starting with her makes sense. And yes, I think Fec indicated he can take a shot (pretty sure most of us can take 1). But whoever does the shooting has the potential of a shot from failing that, so keeping them from having Heat-based shots seems like a good idea.

And if possible, having two shooters with the ability to take two shots without taking a heat-induced shot would be awesome. Let's see if we can pull that off.
