Audiolog#1 <Klick me>
[Static crackles before the sound of Jorgan's breathless voice comes through the recording.]
Jorgan: "Doc said that I gotta keep this shit documented for my mental health or whatever. [sighs] Where to begin, huh? My name is Jorgan Voss, Soldier of the Republican Army and my whole fucking life has been turned upside down since the Mandalorians came to Kestral Prime. I lost my family, my friends, my home, and maybe my fucking soul. And I won't rest until I've made those bastards pay for what they did to me and my planet."
[Jorgan's voice is filled with anger and pain.]
Jorgan: "I remember it like it was yesterday, I was out in the fields with my family, just working on the farm. I think I was 11 back then, maybe 12? Out of nowhere, the sky was filled with their ships. They descended upon us like vultures, raining down death and destruction."
[The sound of blaster fire and screams can be heard in the background.]
Jorgan: "I remember my mum screaming to take my sister's hand and run,... and so I did. I grabbed my younger sister and we ran as fast as we could towards the mountains, never looking back. It was a race against time, as the Mandalorians were getting closer and closer. I'll never forget the sound of blaster fire and the screams of my family, our Soldiers trying to stop them, the sight of our home and everything we had built being burned to the ground. It was a fucking nightmare."
[Jorgan's voice falters as he speaks.]
Jorgan: "As we reached the foot of the mountains, we stumbled upon a group of survivors who were also trying to escape. They were a motley crew, just like us, trying to make it through the war. We joined forces and made our way through the treacherous mountain passes, trying to reach a hidden spaceport,to leave the planet as long as we could. We were cold, hungry and exhausted, but we were alive."
[Jorgan's voice becomes more determined.]
Jorgan: "After we fled into space, a few of the survivors wanted to fight back, determined to make a difference. Even though I was just a kid back then, I wanted to join them. I swore that day that I would survive and fight back against the Mandalorians, no matter what. We were a small force, poorly equipped and ragged, but we were determined to strike at the enemy's supply lines and bases whenever we could. We carried out hit-and-run attacks, using our knowledge of the terrain and guerrilla tactics to our advantage.""
[The sound of blaster fire and explosions can be heard in the background.]
Jorgan: "It was a brutal and unforgiving campaign. For 10 years we tried to best them, but the Mandalorians had superior weapons, armor, and numbers. They were relentless in their pursuit of us, hunting us down like animals. They employed scorched-earth tactics, destroying everything in their path, leaving nothing but death and destruction in their wake."
[Jorgan's voice becomes more somber.]
Jorgan: "And despite our best efforts, we were no match for the Mandalorians. Our resources were stretched thin, and we were constantly on the run. We lost many comrades along the way, and morale began to sink. It was only a matter of time before the resistance was completely crushed."
[Jorgan's voice is filled with anger and pain.]
Jorgan: ”During one of our raids, the Mandalorians captured my sister. I thought she was dead, as I saw her get hit by multiple blaster shots. But it turns out she was still alive, as they had to extract information about our hideout from her,...
[The sound of blaster fire and explosions can be heard in the background.]
….They launched a surprise attack, catching us off guard. It was a bloodbath, and we were quickly overwhelmed. Through sheer luck I managed to escape, but it was the end of the resistance. The Mandalorians had won, and our home planet was left in ruins. I will never forget the sacrifices of my friends and comrades, their death shall not be in vain.”
[There’s a brief pause, followed by a long sigh]
Jorgan: “But I couldn't let it end there. I knew that I needed to do more if I wanted to make a real impact. So I joined the Republican Military and quickly proved myself to be a skilled and dedicated soldier. My training and experience with the resistance group made me a valuable asset to the Republican military.”
[Jorgan's voice becomes more somber.]
Jorgan: “I served in this war on multiple planets, each one a brutal and bloody battlefield. I've witnessed the ruthless tactics of these animals firsthand, and I've seen the devastation they've wrought on countless worlds. I can't even begin to count how many planets we've lost to them,... After the twin crushing defeats of Itamani III and Crucius, I found myself among the few survivors. We were rallied together by General Gaen Novar, a Correlian Colonel who acted quickly to salvage what he could from the shattered remnants of our units and withdrew us in good order. He informed us that we were linking up with locals of the Obroa-Skai defense force. We are the only hope for saving this planet from the Mandalorians' grasp. I don’t know if we can do this,...”
[The sound of a fist hitting the table is heard]
Jorgan: “I've been fighting for what feels like an eternity now. I've seen so much death and destruction, it's hard to keep track. I've lost so many friends and comrades along the way, but I won't let their sacrifices be in vain. I'll make sure the Mandalorians pay for what they've done to my planet, to my family, to me.”
[Jorgan's voice becomes more determined.]
Jorgan: ”I may be just one man, but I'll keep fighting. I'll keep pushing myself and my comrades harder than ever, and I'll make sure that those motherfuckers pay for what they've done. This war may have taken everything from me, but it will not take my determination to see it through to the end.”
[There is a moment of silence before Jorgan speaks again.]
Jorgan: "I'll keep documenting this, as long as I am alive. My journey is not over yet, and I'll make sure that my story is heard until every last Mandalorian is dead. Voss out"
[The recording ends with a beep, indicating the end of the audiolog.]
