[Day 1 - Late Afternoon] New Threads (Tina's Trends, Open)

[Vala Roke]

After getting back on her feet and, soon after, freezing herself by helping with the local efforts, Vala figured that she was overdue for some new threads. She already suffered during her first stay on the planet and the unfortunate business of the ship crashing meant that she lost some of her things, which included her cold weather coat. A part of her perhaps deluded herself that she wasn't going to be stepping foot on this planet again but it seemed that fate had other plans for her.

She meandered around Amaralite Lane until she found a clothing store of sorts but not without snickering at the signs that were put up to welcome the survivors of the ship. It seemed the local commerce worked fast with their pitches around here. The Concord Dawn wasn't a leisure cruise ship in the slightest and had a really misfortunate landing...

Regardless, she wasn't going to spend too long debating the appropriateness of this if it was going to earn her a survivor's discount on some new threads. She began her search by pushing around a circular rack of coats.

[Apollo]

Amaralite Lane was as disappointing as he remembered. Sure, there were some updates from when he was last here, but otherwise he wasn't being wowed by anything. Some places did look more interesting now than others however, but first he decided to drop in by one of the few places he knew he had never shoplifted from, just to test the waters of being back in the old place.

His sensitive Zeltron-nostrils already felt assaulted by the very very faint odour of yak-yoghurt as he entered. Normally it was not a strong enough scent to bother him, but it was just very not his type of preferred scent. "Uuugh..."

Turning his head in an attempt to save his nose, he finally spotted one of the new signs directed at the crash-survivors. "Wow, really. Kind of a tactless sign."

[Vala Roke]

Vala was flipping through the coats that perhaps had everything from XXXS to Four-Arms to sizes for super slim profiles. It figured that those would be left over after everything that was made for more humanoid species would get the first pickings. She was made aware that the area was something of a tourist destination but she wondered if it was more of a tourist trap than a getaway. Of course, she was reminded something-something about the Archives.

When the Zeltron neared and spoke out loud, she would look up from her search and raise a brow at first. "Hah, so it's not just me who thought that? They either work pretty quickly around here or it's been very slow until recently. The least they could do is give us a discount for surviving what could be the most traumatic moment of our lives. You know, thanks for surviving so that you can shop here. It makes it feel like the worst celebration ever."

[Apollo]

"I completely agree!" he echoed the sentiment with much enthusiasm. "Discount like free, you know. I'm pretty sure people in disaster areas don't have to pay to get food and clothing..." Apollo's voice trailed off as he remembered he very much got paid on that one delivery.

"Anyway, what's a lovely lady like yourself doing in this establishment? You don't seem the type to be looking for tourist tchotchkes." The Zeltron captain was of course now giving his full attention to the other person rather than his other surroundings.

[Vala Roke]

"Eh, free would be nice but that might be a bit too much, I get the sense that people around here need the credits to keep the power on and eat at the end of the day. Plus, they might not see a whole lot of tourists with all the war happening around here. So we're kind of a shoo-in for whatever cruise or shuttle might find themselves in this pocket nowhere of the universe," she said with a roll of her eyes.

"Me," she said before she pushed through the racks with passing interest. At this point, she was less picky about the colour and make of the coat, just trying to find one that fit her. "I'm trying to rebuy my whole wardrobe about that whole crash business. I'm going to assume that all of my things were in that hold that got vaporized in the landing to cushion our fall. All things considered, I guess I should take that as a win and move on with my life. I'm Vala, and what about you?"

[Apollo]

He couldn't help but to roll his eyes a little. "As people wanna visit this boring place." The nightlife was practically non-existent to him!

On the other hand though, he could relate to someone having lost parts of their wardrobe. Apollo too had lost some of his favorite shirts and capes when a previous lover had decided to dump fuel on them. And light them on fire. But the only fire he thought of now was the flames of desire (in other words, business as usual for him). "Me?" The pink lips quirked into a charming smile. "I'm Captain Apollo, dear Vala. And of course, let me see if I can help you out of your distress. A beautiful lady like yourself shouldn't be deprived of her wardrobe."

Apollo had no idea he was technically talking to a cop of Corellia. If he knew he'd probably try to explain away the various fines, tickets, and 'wanted for smuggling'-charges.

[Vala Roke]

"No, I didn't think so either," she nodded in agreement on that note. "But I'm going to guess that they have the sort of people who are either scholars or the spiritual sort who like venturing out here for a vacation. I can't really see it, everything is so sparse and quiet. It might drive me nuts after a while thinking everything is so peaceful."

Vala gave a look around the place and gave a shrug of her shoulders, that obviously wasn't the case now but she didn't need to go into that obvious detail.

"Captain Apollo, huh?" She said at first before she registered the flattery that was layered on her. "...if you insist and in that way, I'm more than fine with the help. I'm not exactly looking to dress up for a fashion show. Or whatever passes for one around here. But I take it that you're not from around here."

[Apollo]

"Oh," he chuckled softly, "in the way that a seed carried by the wind is connected to the tree that made it. I'm a man of the galaxy, and not one place." Now he was finally taking in what sort of clothing Vala was looking at, and Apollo shook his head with some dismay.

"I see you're after something more utilitarian, mhm? Sadly necessary on worlds like this that are just too cold to live on for any lengths of time. I do think you would look stunning in red however - a colour that absolutely would suit you well!"

[Vala Roke]

"Oh, hm," she murmured pensively when she got the hint that he was a drifter. While she was far from home, she had to be a bit cautious about their sorts. It was all too easy to cause a lot of trouble and jump into hyperspace at a moment's notice, leaving the mess for people like her to clean up. As for the clothing she was looking at, it was mostly just warm outdoor clothing, like a winter coat or a sweater. She didn't exactly expect to stay indoors and sip on cocoa all day.

"That's about what I was looking for, yeah. If I could trade the snow around here for something warmer, I'd do so in a heartbeat. Even if I have to deal with all of the trouble and jerks that come with it, at least when it comes to being on Corellia. And red?" She mused curiously, at first. "I don't disagree, considering my hair colour...but I'm not so sure if that would make me an easier target or easier to find around here if I ever get lost in a blizzard."
