The morning program started, as it always did, with some soft jizz music.
“Good morning, ladies and gentlemen and other, sentients and semi-sentients, old, young, and everyone in between, and welcome to another morning with me, Fugaruns T’ed, on A Forest Reflection. Not a lot of people pay attention to this but think about how hard the Koo Horn fingering was in that last piece. Wasn’t it impressive? Didn’t it fill your spirit with serenity? That was Lirin Car’n, a real talent. And now I’m happy to be sharing some select news items with you.”
The camera cuts to dramatic footage of Mandalorian jetpack troopers landing on buildings and firing at beleaguered troops. “Our brave troops had a setback today as Crusader forces were able to seize the Nimani building after week’s of fierce resistance. As always, our hearts go out to those fighting to protect us all.”
The camera cuts back to the studio and Fugaruns shifts, his body language reverting to its usual comforting warmness. “But in other news, profiles in courage! Our weekly piece on the sentients of our armed forces. Today’s piece is on Lieutenant Connors, that very nice young man from yesterday’s broadcast. The son of refugees from the outer rim, he's built a home for himself on our beloved planet. And he cooks a mean winter curry. But don’t just take my word for it, we’ll be eating it together in the studio later! And that - is A Forest Reflection.”
